Crepe City 8! 17th August 2013
Today marked the 8th celebration of trainer event Crepe City in London. The event took place in Brick Lanes Truman Brewer; an area well known for pop up stores, markets and fashion related events.
The queues were big, but the venue was vast which meant that once the doors opened it wasn’t too long to wait to get in; unlike previous events.
Stands included the obvious trainer stalls as well as clothing brands and artists. Amongst my favourite stalls were Small Feet Big Kicks, Pins Artist, Sole Unit and Born Ready London. In regards to small trainers Small Feet Big Kicks definitely had the best selection. The selection for girls was really limited otherwise, but SFBK always have a strong collection.
Sole Unit came to sell their tees and unveil their new air max key rings which went down a storm with customers.
Kish hosted the Sole Heaven prize draw where they had picked the best trainers of the day to eventually narrow them down to the top 5 who won hats and tees and the 1st place winners won £100 to spend at Sole Heaven. The DJ’s were playing a loud mix of hip hop, garage, grime and more.
All in all Crepe City 8 went well, the vibe was great; it eventually slowed down towards the end of the event. But this just made it easier to shop and look around. Keep your eyes peeled for the next Crepe City as it’s only getting bigger and better!
Look out for a blog about my pic ups from the event – purchases were made!
