Vogue Featival, Harrods Live
This weekend saw the return of the Vogue Festival at Southbank; 2 days filled with fashions greatest and most exciting taste makers and endless events and talks to keep them entertained! Of which I was one! Vogue and Harrods very kindly invited me along to take part and enjoy the day.
I went along to the ‘My Fashion Life’ talk which included 3 very exciting names in fashion royalty talking about their 3 very different lives; Tory Burch, Angela Missoni and Manolo Blahnik interviewed by Vogue fashion director Lucinda Chambers.
The whole experience was pretty overwhelming for me as I have been so busy I didn’t really know what I was going to. I turned up, sat down and 4 Fashion gods entered the stage; I know Vogue didn’t play it out like this but Lucinda Chambers is also fashion royalty in her own right. I grew up listening to stories about Manolo Blahnik because my mother was a designer before she had me and her shop was just near Manolo’s and she used to wear nothing but her own clothing designs and mostly Blahnik’s shoes. So it was fairly amazing for me to now be sat in front of him listening to his life’s stories. Tory Burch and Angela Missoni were both just as inspiring, as you all will know I love inspirational women. Missoni are a fashion house I was always bought up to respect and Tory Burch is a great modern fashion designer who has tapped into an exciting gap in the market.
The rest of my time at the Vogue Festival including getting my make up done by Bobby Brown and walking the Harrods Live catwalk! It was all a lot of fun and a very interesting experience. There were a lot more interesting talks throughout the weekend but I was also at Crepe City on Saturday and I styled an editorial shoot on Sunday. But other talks included Valentino, Lilly Allen, Jourdan Dunn, Jasper Conran and many more!
