Saucony Originals G9 “Scoops Pack” – Vanilla Strawberry Edition
“The first instalment of the ‘Scoops’ pack saw Saucony Originals dish out the mint chocolate chip, which received an overwhelming response. The next flavour to be released from the brand is the Vanilla Strawberry which is set to achieve the same!
The Saucony Originals G9 “Scoops” pack is available in two hybrid silhouettes of Saucony’s most celebrated heritage styles: the G9 Shadow 5 and G9 Shadow 6.The silhouettes pair the sole unit of Saucony’s Grid 9000 with uppers from the Shadow 5000 and 6000. This Frankenstein experiment was first brought to life through collaboration with Boston based boutique Bodega in 2012.
Crafted with buttery suede, the G9 Shadow 6 upper features a creamy vanilla and strawberry palette which makes up the base of the shoe. An extra added touch of detail is seen on the midsole with a strawberry speck finish and a gum rubber outsole.”
What I love about this pack, is the attention to detail. From the colourway, and materials down to the insole, packaging and extra laces called toppings! IT makes the shoe so much more interesting, and true to name.
I love the way they have been shot as well, it is so much more interesting to look at and something you’ll pay attention to because it is so different to a usual trainer “look book”.
The G9 Shadow 5 Vanilla Strawberry will be available on May 15th in selected Saucony Originals retailers.
