Recap: The Sneakers Cube Launch at Nike Town London

Last week, we were invited to an intimate preview of the newly transformed space in Nike Town London.

‘The Sneakers Cube’ which launched fully to the public last Thursday, is a small hub of everything trainer related on the 2nd floor of Nike Town – essentially a place for anyone with an interest to go and hang out.

Upon arrival of the event, we were told to ensure we bring our specially crafted cubes with different etchings on them. (Which not long after we found out, represented a different part of the evening) We were then taken up a red lit staircase and through to the shop floor, which after hours is so strange!

In the distance I could see a brightly lit area, surrounded by white caging, with a whole team of people anxiously waiting for our arrival – this was The Sneakers Cube!

It was so nice to see Nike creating a space for the old school sneaker community in London – trying to reignite their passion with Nike again. The space has 4 main features:

– Nike ID suite

– Sneaker Services

– Jason Markk

– Chill area with library

We were so lucky that our 4 3D cube invites unlocked something in each of those areas.

The Nike ID suite as everyone knows is a place for you to come and create your own Nike designs and make your dreams into reality.

The sneaker services area, is like a mini store for all the sneaker accessories you could want. These include, Dubraes, Ropes Laces, pins, and Nike premium laces.

The Jason Markk area on the night were providing a sneaker cleaning service, which might become a permanent feature but currently just allows you to purchase anything from the Jason Markk range. It was so cool to be able to meet him and his team – they were all so nice!!

We had such a good time, and if you have time to visit the space you should. It is a permanent fixture now, and Nike promises more is to come… so watch this space on what that will be!!
