Rihanna x Stance: debut collection behind the scenes video. Fall 2015.
Musician, model, designer, superstar… Rihanna has launched her first collaboration with American socks company Stance. For anyone who doesn’t know Stance is a BIG player in the sock scene as well as the fashion world; making hundreds of styles of socks from everyday to dress socks with many collaborations. Their collaborators fall under the category of ‘Punks and Poets’ the collective name for their collaborative designers including musicians, illustrators, skaters, surfers etc…
Collaborating with Rihanna is one of the biggest collections Stance have done with someone to date and this behind the scenes video gives you a sneak peak into how Rihanna directed the photo-shoot for the collection as the brand’s Contributing Creative Director.
Rihanna’s fall collection for Stance is comprised of 15 styles in a pastel colour palette that range from crew to thigh high socks in a ‘Baby Goth Punk’ theme. The vision for the creative was born out of a desire to let the socks speak as standalone fashion pieces, with symmetrical styling of the models who are wearing identical wigs that cover their eyes.
