Afternoon Tea Baking Class with GAIL’s Bakery
This week I went to Gails Bakery to try one of their Afternoon Tea Bakery Classes.
As well as loving clothes and sneakers and sports I love baking and cooking, so does Jess, in-fact we love to eat as much as we love to shop! I previously had the chance to go to a blogger brunch at another Gail’s restaurant in Exmouth Market which you can see here. This time I headed to the Blackheath bakery to try and make some of their recipes myself. Blackheath is also by the way, a lovely place, full of greenery with a country vibe and really isn’t that far from central London.
We had the chance to make 5 recipes with their amazing chef, the best bit really has to be the prepared kitchen with the exact right ingredients and cutlery and being able to leave and not wash up! It really makes baking a dream! I also had some fab company form the likes of Littlest Beetle, Kristabel Plummer and the wonderfully aesthetically pleasing Symmetry Breakfast.
We baked:
Cheese and Chive Scones
Lemon Drizzle Cake
Hazelnut and Chocolate Sables
Scones
Almond and Rasberry Tart
You can sign up to a bakery class here – http://www.gailsworkshops.co.uk/pages/classes It’s really fun! I would totally recommend it.
Oh but my last bit of advice: be careful with the knives they are sharp! I might have cut myself… The cakes helped ease the pain!
