Local Heroes AW15 for Selfridges

I have recently been introduced to the brand Local Heroes and I love everything about them. Now luckily for us they have launched exclusively in Selfridges in store and online as of September!

Bringing its unique vision of youthful nostalgia to the UK, the brand stand apart from the crowd with playful pastels, emoji-like graphics and internet referencing
slogans.

The ‘Reality Sucks’ collection features sweatshirts, tees, dresses and jackets alongside cute socks, bags and beanies. Key pieces include the ‘1-800 You Wish’ Satin Reversible Bomber Jacket (£120), zeitgeisty ‘I Look Better Online’ Tee (£40) and ‘Pink Palms Hoodie’ (£55) – an exclusive colorway for Selfridges.

Founded three years ago by friends Areta Szpura and Karolina Slota, Local Heroes began with the idea to create something inspired by internet culture. Starting out with Tumblr slogans on tees, these days Local Heroes collections are notoriously straightforward, street style focused and always with an element of youth subcultures.

I love the quirky jumpers and pastel colours! Definitely on my wishlist for Christmas!
