Footlocker x Adidas Tubular Invader Strap Launch – Paris

A couple of weeks ago we were some of the lucky few that were asked to go to Paris to celebrate the launch of the Footlocker x Adidas Tubular Invader Strap. With a crew of familiar faces from LDN we jetted off on the Eurostar to meet up with other bloggers, sneaker scene influencers and the like, from other Mainland European cities at the W Hotel, opposite L’Opera – BANGING!!

After introductions and light refreshments we were whisked off to the River Seine for a surprise boat trip accompanied by a 3 course lunch. We talked food, sneakers, and French culture, but the topic on everyone’s minds was what they were going to pull out of the bag for the evening ahead.

When we got back to the hotel, we rushed to get ready for the next part of the night – having only one hour to go. Everyone regrouped at the Paris Opera House, which was amazing. There were loads of tasty nibbles, cocktails and drinks on hand, which gave everyone a chance to loosen up and mingle!

The main event was over at the Palais de Tokyo (YOYO), which is one of my favourite places to go to in Paris – they have the sickest exhibitions and it’s an incredible space! When we arrived, we walked down into what seemed like a graffiti covered tunnel leading to a basement. Concrete everywhere to add to the eerie effect. There was a wall covered in everyone’s names who’d attended the day event – we all had to cross our names off the wall and get snapped – “5 seconds of fame” haha

The main room was huge, surrounded by stacks of magazines showing off the Adidas Tubular Strap shoes. The cocktails were amazing, and there was sushi and Bao buns throughout the night. It was good to see all of our sneaker pals in one place, dancing, drinking, snapping and chatting away till 3am.

Thanks to Footlocker and Adidas for showing us how it’s done! Shouts to the London crew, and the European family too. Big up Chinks from Footlocker and M&C Saatchi for giving us the opportunity!  ❤
