ASOS White x Saucony
ASOS White and American heritage trainer brand Saucony have collaborated on a womens release of the classic Shadow 5000 in an all glitter colour-way.
The navy style embodies the ASOS White aesthetic, known for its minimal, tonal collections while the red style, inspired by Dorothy from the Wizard Oz makes noise and takes Saucony off the running track to a girlier fashion-zoned sector.
With trainers being in everyones closets from sneakerheads to fashionistas now this bold glitter release is a clever move for a brand that sometimes is left behind in the ever competitive brand wars. Over-shadowed by competitors like Adidas and Asics, Saucony sometimes don’t take the same fashion conscious or trend led risks as bigger brands do. It’s nice to see them step out of their comfort zone and bring women something interesting. But don’t worry guys if they fit we wouldn’t slate you for rocking a pair either!
